Want to collaborate with TEMPO?
We're excited to connect with fishers, fishery practitioners, students, NGOs, research collaborators, funders and other partners!
Current + Prospective Graduate Students
TEMPO has PIs at the University of Washington (Aceves), San Diego State University (Lauer), and UC Santa Barbara (Quintana and Gaines) who may collaborate with Master's and PhD students.
On top of this — we continue partnerships in French Polynesia and México. Please reach out to a PI or team member at your university and we can talk about how to work together.
Professional Collaborators (NGO practitioners, fishers, government officials, fishery stakeholders, etc.)
If you are involved in small-scale fishery management, we would love to hear from you! Throughout this project, our team wants to learn from more fishery practitioners. In México, we partner closely with COBI (Communidad y Biodiversidad) and have growing partnerships in French Polynesia with CRIOBE and the Rahui Center.
Email Dylan, (Project Manager) at Glave@ucsb.edu to find the best point of contact.
Undergraduate Students
We have a growing cohort of undergraduate researchers on our team at UCSB—ranging from summer interns to year-long research assistants. Reach out to our Project Manager Dylan at Glave@ucsb.edu. He can connect you with pathways to collaboration at UCSB or San Diego State University.
You can learn more about our ongoing internship program on the RISE page.
