Eréndira Aceves Bueno
Assistant Professor at the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs, University of Washington
Dr. Aceves-Bueno's research focuses on marine policy, particularly artisanal fisheries and the development of tools to facilitate ecosystem stewardship. Her specific interest lies in identifying policy mechanisms that can mitigate the impact of climate change on coastal fishing communities. She holds a degree in Marine Biology from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur, Mexico, a master's degree in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and a PhD in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California Santa Barbara. She also conducted her postdoctoral studies as a McCurdy Scholar at the Duke Nicholas School of the Environment.
